DE Professional Organizers provides professional organizing services including, but not limited to: consulting, sorting, decluttering, purging, storage solution sourcing, labeling, filing, categorizing, donation removal, electronic organization, unpacking, and home staging. This agreement is between the Organizer (contractor) and the Client for a specific organizing project. The project ends when the purchased package time is fully used. Timelines may vary by project. If more than 10% additional time is needed, the Client must upgrade their package. If less than 10% of the time remains unused, the Client may request a refund for that time, use it for maintenance, or apply it toward another project, upon mutual agreement. The Organizer will use professional judgment to guide the timeline and details, which will be outlined at the project’s start. Once paid/signed, this is a binding agreement.
1. Payment
Full payment is due before services begin. Accepted payment methods: Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or PayPal via the Organizer’s website. All purchases for storage items are the Client’s responsibility. If the Organizer purchases on behalf of the Client, costs will be reimbursed, and time spent shopping is billable.
2. Process Ownership
Client retains full ownership and decision-making power over all items. The Organizer will support and advise, but final decisions rest with the Client.
3. Photographs
“Before” and “after” photos will be taken for each organized space and may be used in promotional materials or the Organizer’s website, anonymously and without identifying the Client.
4. Missed Appointments
Clients who miss hourly appointments without 24 hours’ notice will be charged a $50 fee. For pre-paid packages, 2 cancellations are allowed. After that, a $25 fee per missed session will apply.
5. Outcomes
Successful outcomes rely on the Client’s willingness to purge and commit to maintaining the organization created.
6. Confidentiality
The Organizer will treat all personal items and information with strict confidentiality and respect.
7. Term and Termination
This agreement is effective upon signing and continues until project completion. If the Client cancels early, they must cover all outstanding fees and expenses. Projects must be completed within 8 months unless otherwise agreed upon.
8. Independent Contractor
The Organizer acts as an independent contractor. This agreement does not create a partnership or joint venture.
9. Assistants/Subcontractors
Assistants may be used and hours billed accordingly. If an assistant is approved by the Client, hourly rates will be doubled for sessions with both Organizer and assistant present.
10. Cancellation
Services are non-refundable. Rescheduled sessions must occur within 8 months of the project’s start date.
